FEELS LIKE HEAVEN was slow into stride. SECRET ADMIRER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Campbell was questioned regarding the improved performance of SECRET ADMIRER the winner compared to this filly's previous run on the 15th October 2014. He explained that this filly had raced too handily in her previous start and had compounded in the latter stages. For today's race he had instructed Jockey Marcus to race this filly from off the pace. Mr Campbell's explanation has been noted and he has been advised to race this filly in a similar manner in her future engagements. BUZZ was hanging in, in the latter stages. KARELIA became continuously baulked between the 300 and 200 metre marks and thereafter switched out for a clear run. SECRET ADMIRER, hanging in passing the 100 metre mark, shifted in making contact with WEST COAST STAR and carried WEST COAST STAR inwards. Jockey Marcus, the rider of SECRET ADMIRER, appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to take stronger measures to keep his mounts on a straight course in future. Jockey Forbes reported that CATCH A QUEEN was making abnormal respiratory noises in running. Jockey Randolph reported that PATRICIA was not striding out freely in running. In view of the performance of CAMEO GIRL, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. ICEOLITE returned post race having cast the right fore shoe. CAMEO GIRL raced fitted with steels. Vet: CATCH A QUEEN and CAMEO GIRL - nothing obvious detected. PATRICIA - lame right hind. Scratched: DIANA'S JET - elevated temperature.
