The start of the 6th Race was slightly delayed as a result of the farrier having to replace the left fore shoe on NATIONAL KING. ANTWERP and NATIONAL KING were slow into stride. HO'OPONOPONO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey de Melo reported that DANCINGWITHJACKSON was changing legs continuously in running. Due to the performance of PAX AETERNA, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Jockey Mgudlwa reported that SYLVAN JET took no interest in running. HO'OPONOPONO was hanging out badly in the straight, shifted out in the latter stages. ALBERT shifted away from the crop in the latter stages. RISKY ROSCO was forced to switch in off the heels of ALBERT at approximately the 100 metre mark. Thereafter ALBERT made contact with ANTWERP. DANCINGWITHJACKSON is a gelding and not a colt as carded. Vet: DANCINGWITHJACKSON, PAT AETERNA and SYLVAN JET - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: RAZED IN BLACK - jarred left fore fetlock.
