DANISH WOOD was slow into stride. FREMONT STREET and COUNT ZAFONIC lost one length. FREMONT STREET was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Moore was questioned with regard to the improved performance of FREMONT STREET compared to this gelding's previous performance on the 15 October 2014. Trainer Moore could offer no suitable explanation and the Board adjourned to review this gelding's previous run. THE KING'S HAND became baulked approaching the 300 metre mark, clipping the heels of TEMPLE ROCK. Thereafter TEMPLE ROCK switched out to obtain a clear run resulting in BIG AMBITIONS becoming cramped for galloping room making contact with YEAROFTHEDRAGON and YEAROFTHEDRAGON becoming unbalanced. Apprentice Dillon signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention in that, as the rider of THE KING'S HAND, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to the horses BIG AMBITIONS and YEAROFTHEDRAGON at approximately the 300 metre mark. He was suspended for a period of 7 days. Jockey Cormack reported that TEMPLE ROCK faltered for no apparent reason in the latter stages. Apprentice Mxothwa reported that he felt something amiss with THE BELLMAN in running. Vet: TEMPLE ROCK - not striding out left fore. THE BELLMAN - nothing obvious detected. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at tonight's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at tonight's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
