FOURTH ESTATE, HENCHMAN and ZESTFUL were slow into stride. GEMINI GOLD was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. NINETEEN FOURTEEN, hanging out in the straight, shifted out carrying GEMINI GOLD outwards gradually from approximately the 250 metre mark to the 150 metre mark. This resulted in ZESTFUL becoming baulked for a number of strides. Thereafter passing the 100 metre mark ZESTFUL switched in to obtain a clear run, carrying NINETEEN FOURTEEN inwards resulting in TIPO TINTO (AUS) having to be eased for a number of strides. Jockey Veale, the rider of NINETEEN FOURTEEN, appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to take stronger measures to ensure that he keeps his mounts on a straight course in future.
