ARABIAN MAMBO jumped awkwardly with her head down, losing five lengths. Trainer Steyn will be advised to have this filly re-schooled before her next engagement. CAPTAIN'S DOVE was fractious loading, causing a delay. Trainer Robinson will be advised to have this filly re-schooled before her next engagement. BLACK BELVEDERE was fractious in the stalls. Trainer Kannemeyer will be advised to have this filly re-schooled before her next engagement. The Board reviewed the start of this race regarding ARABIAN MAMBO in stall gate two, and established that this horse had thrown its' head down as the start was effected, was not impeded by a handler, and therefore declared the filly to be a runner. SO SUSPECT was held up and switched out at the 300m to continue its run. Apprentice Carstens reported that ARABIAN MAMBO did not stride out freely in running. SWEET SASHA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: HOPE DOWNS - returned cut into behind. ARABIAN MAMBO - inspected post race and no significant findings were detected.
