The start of this Race was delayed due to SHAUNTREL (IRE) pulling her left fore shoe during loading and the Course Farrier having to refit the shoe. Horses were unloaded from the stalls and reloaded. CALICO and LOVE THIS CITY were nervous loading. HEARTFELT was nervous loading, stood awkwardly. The saddle on ROAD TO MECCA slipped back at the start. Jockey Ndlovu reported that LOVE THIS CITY was not striding out freely in running. PRETTYAMAZINGGRACE was hanging in over the final 500 metres. SAIL INTOTHECLOUDS shifted inwards at the 150 metre mark and CALICO was forced to switch outwards off the heels of SAIL INTOTHECLOUDS. SOMETHINGDANGEROUS raced green. SHAUNTREL (IRE) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. MARRIAGE VOWS raced with alumites in front, unshod behind. The Owners of GODDESS FAUSTINA are: Money Talks Syndicate (Nom: Mr J V A Strydom) & Mr J V A Strydom; and the Colours are: Orange, emerald green maltese cross, emerald green sleeves, halved cap. The Colours of the Owners of SOMETHINGDANGEROUS are: Black, turquoise blue diamond, white sleeves, turquoise blue & white checked diamond cap. Vet: CALICO - injured mouth. LOVE THIS CITY - short in front. SHAUNTREL (IRE), ROAD TO MECCA and FAIRY PARADE - abnormal respiratory noise. PRETTYAMAZINGGRACE - abnormal respiratory noise, short in front. The Course Farrier on duty reported that the shoes of all the runners engaged at today's race meeting were checked and confirmed with the rules. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
