DESERT SWIRL jumped awkwardly, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. Jockey Fayd'Herbe reported that after leading the field in the early stages of the race, COLTRANE (ARG) had shown little interest from the 1200m despite his urgings and he had not persevered with his riding from the 800m. PUTNEY FLYER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: COLTRANE (ARG) - inspected post race and no significant findings were detected.
