ROYAL ROY (AUS) was slow into stride. DAVID'S FLOWER (AUS) lost one length. HARRY PEPPA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. DAVID'S FLOWER (AUS) clipped the heels of KING PROTEA shortly after the start and stumbled. CHARLIE TRIMBLE was slow into stride and thereafter was squeezed out. Jockey Jacobson reported that BERMUDABREEZE making a severe abnormal respiratory noise in running and as a result did not persevere with his ride in the latter stages. Jockey Daniels reported that he felt something amiss with BOB THE DOG in running and as a result did not persevere with his ride in the latter stages. Vet: BERMUDABREEZE and BOB THE DOG - nothing obvious detected.
