DO BE SNAPPY was switched in approaching the 350m, off the heels of WESTCHESTER to continue its run. Jockey Byleveld reported that IRISH DYNASTY had taken no interest in running. In view of the performance from SPRING CHERRY, the Veterinary Surgeon Was requested to examine the gelding and submit a report. When questioned regarding the improved performance from THAT COWBOY KID today compared to the gelding's previous race on 19/11/2014 when it finished 15.15 lengths behind the winner, Trainer Mr Crawford told the Stewards that this gelding had been very fractious in the starting stalls in its previous run and it had jumped awkwardly and trailed the field throughout despite the efforts of the rider and had failed to run on in the straight. For today's race he had equipped the gelding with blinkers and a tongue tie as this gelding had choked up in running on 10/09/2014 and taken no interest on 19/11/2014. In Mr Crawford's opinion this had accounted for today's improvement. The Board reviewed the patrol films of the gelding's previous race on 19/11/2014 and confirmed the explanation from Mr Crawford. The Board further advised Mr Crawford to race the gelding equipped in a similar manner in its future engagements. THAT COWBOY KID and SET YOUR SIGHTS were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. THAT COWBOY KID raced fitted with a tongue tie. Vet: SPRING CHERRY and IRISH DYNASTY - inspected post race and no significant findings were detected. Scratched: LASTBUTNOTLEAST - not eating up.
