NATTERJACK, AMANGA and CHARLES MY BOY were slow into stride. MUHANNAD (ARG) and BAZOON lost one length. LISTEN AND LEARN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Rivalland was questioned with regard to the improved performance of LISTEN AN LEARN, compared to this gelding's previous performance on the 28 October 2014. Mr Rivalland explained that in this gelding's previous run, he raced wide, without cover and as a result compounded in the latter stages. Today, despite racing from a handy position, LISTEN AND LEARN got cover and this in Mr Rivalland's opinion, had attributed to the improvement shown. The Board noted his explanation. Apprentice Dillon reported that ROCK PRINCE took no interest in running. KILLARNEY HOUSE was pulling hard in the early stages, difficult to restrain. In view of the performances of KILLARNEY HOUSE, KINGS ELEVEN and PEACE KEEPER, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses. CHARLES MY BOY raced in alumites in front and unshod behind. Vet: ROCK PRINCE, KILLARNEY HOUSE, KINGS ELEVEN and PEACE KEEPER - nothing obvious detected. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
