MISSMASALA jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls and lost one length. Jockey Simons reported that SECRET MAGOK made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. Assistant Trainer Titise was advised to report back to the Board on the condition of the horse on its return to the stable. RUN FOR REVELRY was hanging in from the 400m. In view of the performance of MISSMASALA, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer Tarry was advised to report back to the Board on the condition of the horse on its return to the stable. LADY CASEY was hanging in, in the straight proving difficult to assist. In view of this, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Apprentice Penny reported that BELINSKY did not stride out freely in running. Jockey Pretorius reported that DAWN DAY did not stride out freely in running and as a result did not persevere with his riding in the closing stages. JADE VINE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: SECRET MAGOK - no respiratory noise detected post race. MISSMASALA - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. LADY CASEY - not striding out left front. BELINSKY - uncomfortable left hind. DAWN DAY - not striding out right front and coughing.
