SUMMER SIXTYNINE, DANCE TRICK and HICKORY HILL were all slow into stride. LADY OF KILDARE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SUMMER SIXTYNINE switched in approaching the 100 metre mark, resulting in PULA and SUMMER SIXTYNINE making contact. This resulted in SUMMER SIXTY NINE being turned around and PULA making contact with SHIVRANI, becoming severely unbalanced and stumbled badly. Jockey Lembethe signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention in that, as the rider of SUMMER SIXTYNINE, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to the horse PULA at approximately the 100 metre mark. He was suspended for a period of 7 days. MUTTLY raced wide in the early stages. Apprentice Dillon, the rider of STORM COAST, reported this mare took no interest in running. In view of the performance of performance JAMBOREE, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Apprentice Godden, the rider of FINDING NEVERLAND, reported this mare coughed in running. Jockey Mgudlwa, the rider of HICKORY HILL, reported this mare not striding out freely in running. Vet: STORM COAST, JAMBOREE - nothing obvious detected and HICKORY HILL - nothing obvious detected. PULA - not striding out left hind. FINDING NEVERLAND - coughing.
