LEEULOOP JET lost one length. RAKE'S CHESTNUT had to steady at the 800m when awkwardly placed on the heels of STRAW MARKET. RAKE'S CHESTNUT was awkwardly placed in the concluding stages, on the outside of RUSHMORE RIVER, which shifted out slightly away from the crop. Jockey Strydom appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol film of the race and advised to take the necessary measures to keep his mounts on a straight course in future. FRENCH NAVY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Danielson was charged with a contravention, read with Guideline C on the use of the crop, in that he struck the horse FRENCH NAVY more than three times on consecutive strides in the concluding stages.
