DURTY NELLY (M Winnaar) kicked the back gates, jumped awkwardly inwards and dislodged the rider. After reviewing the start, it was established that DURTY NELLY (M Winnaar) had jumped awkwardly inwards and dislodged the rider. She had not been impeded and was declared to be a runner. Approaching the 400m, MR COBBS (A Domeyer) was brushed inwards by WORLDS YOUR OYSTER (C Orffer) which rolled in. Leaving the 300m, SAVEA (M Byleveld) was carried out by the riderless horse (DURTY NELLY), had to steady and switch in at the 200m. In view of the performance of DRAGON POWER (S Mbhele) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. The Board reviewed WORLD'S YOUR OYSTER's previous run on the 25th February, after which it was reported that the gelding had pulled hard, tired and returned blowing when examined by the veterinary surgeon. Video footage confirmed that this gelding had pulled very hard in the early stages and Jockey Zackey was forced to take him to the outside of the field where he raced wide on the bend and into the straight and had tired from the 250m The Board was satisfied that these factors had affected this gelding's performance on the day. WORLDS YOUR OYSTER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer Miss L Woodruff was advised. RUSH HOUR GIRL raced with alumite bar shoes in front (declared 14h51 on 04062020). DRAGON POWER - nothing obvious detected. SCRATCHED: HORATIUS - reserve runner. AQUA BOLT - reserve runner.DYNASTIC LIGHT - reserve runner. REGIMENTAL - reserve runner.
