The start of the 2nd Race was delayed due to a power failure and having to arrange all the necessary contingencies for the 2nd Race to take place without power. GRECIAN MUSE, PRINCESS TARA and SPANGLE were slow into stride. MS BROOKS lost 1 length. SPANGLE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. PIECE OF POPPY stumbled leaving the starting stalls. Apprentice Claassen reported that he felt something amiss with PIECE OF POPPY in running. Jockey de Melo reported that JACLYN JETSETTER was changing legs continuously in running. Vet: PIECE OF POPPY - nothing obvious detected. JACLYN JETSETTER - not striding out right hind. A P'S DREAM - coughing.
