DIRTYDEALIN MAMMA was slow into stride. SWANEE RIVER lost 1 length. TIME MARCHES ON and SWANEE RIVER were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Due to the performance of DIRTYDEALIN MAMMA, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. UMOYANA shifted in at approximately the 1200 metre mark, resulting in VICTORYTAKEOVER being switched out off the heels of UMOYANA. This resulted in QUEEN ELIZA being eased off the heels of VICTORY TAKEOVER. There was an interrupted side on view of this incident due to the trees on the golf course. Apprentice Ntuli, the rider of UMOYANA, appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear of other runners when shifting ground in races in future. VICTORY TAKEOVER was hanging in, in the straight. Jockey Mgudlwa's right foot slipped out of the stirrup iron on CITY OF ATHENS (AUS), which he regained on entering the straight. As a result this filly raced wide into the straight. SWANEE RIVER returned post race having cast the left fore shoe. Vet: DIRTYDEALIN MAMMA - not striding out right fore. UMOYANA - blowing.
