LADY OF KILDARE and HICKORY HILL were difficult to load. BEAUTIFUL JET and BLUEBELL GLADE were slow into stride. HICKORY HILL lost 1 length. DANCE TRICK lost 2 lengths. LADY OF KILDARE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. In view of the Starter's report concerning LADY OF KILDARE and HICKORY HILL, the starting stall certificates for this filly and his mare have been withdrawn until recertified tractable with a companion. AMBER FLYER was steadied on the outside of BLUEBELL GLADE at approximately the 300 metre mark. SEBONAC eased out approaching the 200 metre mark, shifted in carrying DANCE TRICK and HICKORY HILL inwards, resulting in DANCE TRICK becoming cramped. Jockey Delpech, the rider of SEBONAC, appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and advised to take more care when shifting ground in races in future. Jockey Delpech reported that he felt something amiss with SEBONAC in running. In view of the performances of BLUEBELL GLADE and HICKORY HILL, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly and this mare. SEBONAC cast the left hind shoe at approximately the 1200 metre mark. Assistant Trainer Steyn signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined for a contravention in that he failed to present LADY OF KILDARE in the parade ring. HICKORY HILL raced fitted with alumites. LONDON OLYMPICS raced unshod. Vet: SEBONAC - cut into left hind. BLUEBELL GLADE - nothing obvious detected. HICKORY HILL - coughing. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
