ZINNAVAR was restless in the stalls. OLYMPIAN and HARRY LIME made contact at the start. TRIPLE BLUFF jumped awkwardly, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. Jockey Byleveld reported that OLYMPIAN changed stride continually in running. In view of the performance from TRIPLE BLUFF, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding and submit a report. HARRY LIME was hanging in, in the latter stages. VARLO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: OLYMPIAN - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. TRIPLE BLUFF - returned making an abnormal respiratory noise. GENERALISSIMO - returned lame on the left fore.
