LUCKY LEAR was stubborn loading. CAPTAIN'NTENILLE (AUS) was stubborn loading, stood and lost many lengths. KATIE EM was nervous in the stall, flyjumped, slow away and lost 2 lengths. LUV U BABES and POLLY PORCH were slow away, lost 1 length. Permission was granted for SHAKE AND BAKE, TIMES REMEMBERED and POLLY PORCH to be led to the start with a lead horse. TIMES REMEMBERED was unruly on parade and reluctant to proceed to the start with a lead horse. Dislodged Jockey Webber and was led to the start unmounted. Trainer Laing was advised that this filly is intractable and was suspended from racing. This filly is to be recertified tractable on a racecourse on a race day to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Board prior to racing again. In view of the Starter's report concerning CAPTAIN'NTENILLE (AUS) and this mare's previous record in the starting stalls, she is suspended for 30 days and to be recertified tractable "to jump on terms" prior to racing again. The start of this race was delayed due to KATIE EM pulling her left fore shoe en route to the start and the Course Farrier having to refit it. TIMES REMEMBERED was pulling hard and refused to settle in the early stages, which resulted in CLASSIC VICTORY being cramped for galloping room for several strides entering the 1st turn at the 900 metre mark. SET ME FREE (NZ) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: CAPTAIN'NTENILLE (AUS) coughed post race. Scratched: DIAMOND DYNASTY, GIFT OF GOLD and MYSTICAL MOUSE - no suitable jockey. NAUTICAL GEM - abscess off hind. The Course Farrier on duty reported that the shoes of all the runners engaged at today's race meeting were checked and confirmed with the rules. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure
