THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DELAY IN THE PREVIOUS RACE. ACCOMPLISHED (S Khumalo), MARRAKECH (D De Gouveia) and VALYRIAN KING (D L Habib) were slow into stride. MEXICO (G Lerena) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. THUMBS UP (C Maujean) was restless in the stalls. NAJEM SUHAIL (AUS) (C Murray), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Ndzilana advised (LN).LION CRUISE (C Habib), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer L van der Westhuizen advised (LN). THUMBS UP was ridden by Jockey C Maujean (declared 11 June 2020 at 08H10).
NAJEM SUHAIL (AUS) was ridden by Jockey C Murray (declared 10 June 2020 at 11H55). TAI GOLD raced with club colours (Black, Blue cap). Trainer C Spies was issued with an Admission of Guilt for a contravention of Rule 8.3.1 in that he did not have available the registered colours of the owner/s of the horse TAI GOLD. Stable Employee F Naude, acting on behalf of Trainer Spies signed the Admission of Guilt and a penalty of a Warning was imposed.

Trainer P A Peter was charged with a contravention of Rule 50.1.3 in that he entered the horse NICARAGUA for the abovementioned race when it had not been graded tractable within sixty days prior to declarations. Trainer Peter signed an Admission of Guilt and a penalty of a Warning was imposed.
