LUCKY AND HEALTHY lost 3 lengths. CHALCEDONY lost 2 lengths. GANGNAM STYLE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Racing into the back straight NEMBA BEACH, shifted in sharply, thereafter was switched out resulting in CHALCEDONY becoming cramped and momentarily eased along the inside running rail. Jockey Latham appeared before the Board with regard to this and was advised to take more care in similar circumstances. AMANGA over-raced in the early and middle stages, compounded in the straight. FATHEAD BROWNIE over-raced in the early stages, compounded and was not persevered with over the final 300 metres. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine FATHEAD BROWNIE. In view of the performances of COUNT ZAFONIC, NISHAC and NEMBA BEACH, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings. D'VASH returned post- race having cast the left front shoe. NISHAC was hanging in, in the latter stages. Vet: COUNT ZAFONIC, AMANGA and FATHEAD BROWNIE - nothing obvious detected. NISHAC - abnormal respiratory noise. NEMBA BEACH - not striding out right fore. Scratched: MR ICEMAN - not eating up. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
