WINDY DESERT was stubborn loading and lost 1 length. Trainer Ferraris was advised to re-school this filly prior to her next engagement. (BN) INCA LILY and JACARANDA CITY were restless in the stalls. Trainers Erasmus and Matchett were advised to re-school their respective horses prior to their next engagement. NOMVULA and SHANKLY GATES lost 1 length. NOMVULA showed a tendency to shift out away from the crop in the closing stages and had to be straightened on two occasions. Jockey Chambers appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol film and advised that whilst the Stewards accepted that his mount had shown some greenness in running, he is required to ride with sufficient vigour and purpose so as to leave no room for query from the Stewards. Jockey Simons felt something amiss with JACARANDA CITY in the closing stages and did not persevere with his riding. MAMBONICK was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: JACARANDA CITY - examined post race, no significant findings.
