RUSHINTOTHEWIND was reluctant to proceed to the start, was reluctant to load and had to be hooded causing a delay. Trainer Puller will be advised to have this mare re-schooled before her next engagement. UP IN LIGHTS dropped her head down shortly before the start, losing one length. SKYLAR LANE was restless in the stalls. Jockey Wright was charged with a contravention, in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight, or at the weight confirmed in his engagement with the Trainer, which resulted in a change of rider. After considering the evidence Jockey Wright signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R250.00. In view of the performance from SKYLAR LANE, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the filly and submit a report. SKYLAR LANE over-raced in the early stages and was difficult to settle. RUSHINTOTHEWIND, which was hanging out brushed DISNEY QUEEN on a number of occasions between the 300m and 150m. SCHOOL RUN was hanging out in the straight. PRINCESS ELEANOR was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: SKYLAR LANE - returned cut into on the right hind. Scratched: SWEET SASHA - lame left fore.
