THE RISING lost 1 length. TUTTA MAGEE (BRZ) was difficult to settle in the early and middle stages. LADY THISTLE was difficult to settle in the early stages. Jockey Strydom reported that this filly coughed in running. JUPITERANDMARS, which showed a tendency to roll outwards, shifted out away from the crop near the 100m. Apprentice Zackey appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol film of the race and advised to be more aware when his mounts commence to shift ground so that he can take immediate corrective measures. In view of the performance from KIKUSHA, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Apprentice Munger appeared before the Board, shown the patrol film of the race and advised to ride with sufficient vigour and purpose so as to leave no room for query from the Stewards. In view of the performance from LADIES CLUB, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. JUPITERANDMARS and DANGEROUS DIVA were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. When questioned regarding the improved performance from JUPITERANDMARS, Trainer Tarry told the Stewards that this filly's previous race was her first race round the bend where she had been drawn wide and had been further back than anticipated and had not run on in the straight in yielding going. For today's race the filly has been better drawn and had raced from a more handy position and had finished the race off strongly. His explanation was noted. Trainer Tarry's attention was drawn to the Rule pertaining to In and Out Running and the future performances of JUPITERANDMARS will be monitored. Vet: LADY THISTLE - coughing. DANGEROUS DIVA and ONE SEXY LADY - abnormal respiratory noise. KIKUSHA - not striding out left front. LADIES CLUB - examined post race, no significant findings. VIVACIOUS BEAUTY - abnormal respiratory noise; coughing. Scratched: VOLUPTIOUS LADY - abnormal temperature. ANGEL'S SMILE - off feed. TARENTUM - no transport.
