PASHMINA and ROY'S ANGEL were slow into stride. WESTERLY WIND lost three lengths. VARANESE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Bosch was questioned with regard to the improved performance of VARANESE compared to this filly's previous performance on the 04 January 2015. Mr Bosch explained that the fitting of the blinkers and the tongue tie, had accounted to the improvement shown tonight. He further undertook to race this filly similarly equipped in the near future. The Board noted his explanation. GINGER BISCUIT shifted in approaching the 600 metre mark, resulting in in ROY'S ANGEL becoming cramped and having to be steadied. Jockey David, the rider of GINGER BISCUIT, appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when allowing his mounts to shift ground in future. Jockey David's left foot slipped out of the stirrup iron on GINGER BISCUIT at approximately the 600 metre mark, which he regained shortly before entering the straight. Jockey David, the rider of GINGER BISCUIT, accidentally dropped his crop at approximately the 200 metre mark. In view of the performance of PASHMINA, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. LAUGH raced equipped with a tongue tie. Vet: LAUGH - Epistaxis, 90 days suspension. PASHMINA - cut into left fore.
