The start of this Race was delayed due to DIANA'S JET who was accompanied by a lead horse, arriving late at the start, and QUICK ANSWER having to be re-saddled at the start. NON NEGOTIABLE was restless in the stalls and was slow into stride. DIANA'S JET was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. PURE SPICE over-raced in the early stages. HOT RESPONSE pulled hard from approximately the 1200 to the 1000 metre marks. SEPTEMBER RAIN raced wide into the straight. ELUSIVE LADY took no interest in running. In view of this the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. SHEZAMATADOR raced with alumites in front, unshod behind. Vet: ELUSIVE LADY - nothing obvious detected.
