The start of this race was delayed as the tongue tie on EGYPTIAN had to be re-fitted at the start and the Veterinary Surgeon had to examine RAND CLUB. MASTER RIVAS had to check on the inside of THREE WISHES at the 100m, which shifted inwards. Apprentice Zackey was charged with a contravention in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to MASTER RIVAS at the 100m whilst riding THREE WISHES. Apprentice Zackey signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of seven days. CORLEONI took an awkward stride at the 150m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. MUTAMAKKIN (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. THE ROYAL RUMBA raced equipped with cheek pieces. Vet: CORLEONI - not striding out left front. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
