WALTRAUT and RIGHT SITE came together leaving the stalls. NOBLE WIND was stubborn loading. Trainer de Beer was advised to re-school this mare prior to its next engagement. In view of the performance of WEST WIND ODE, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. WALTRAUT was hanging in from the 400m. ROLLING RUBY was hanging in, in the concluding stages. Jockey Danielson appeared before the Board and was advised against the practice of using his crop on a horse which has passed the finish line. Apprentice Storey reported that MRS HANCOCK made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. Jockey Aucharuz reported that INDIGO PIXIE took no interest in running. Jockey Aucharuz was charged with a contravention, read with Guideline G on the use of the crop, in that he misused his crop by hitting INDIGO PIXIE unnecessarily when it was out of contention for a place. Jockey Aucharuz signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined. BEAUTIFUL DAWN and MRS HANCOCK were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: WEST WIND ODE - not striding out right front. NOBLE WIND and RIGHT SITE - coughing. MRS HANCOCK - no respiratory noise detected post race. INDIGO PIXIE - lame right front. Veterinary report required prior to entry.
