FLEETFOX was restless in the stalls. WATERWAYS was slow into stride. Jockey Behr reported that BIG FREEZE compounded in the latter stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the colt and submit a report. In view of the performance from HIDDEN DANGER, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding and submit a report. HARRYHOPEITHAPPENS was bumped leaving the 100m by STORM FAERIE, which shifted in away from the NEW FORT, which shifted in away from the crop before straightening. Shortly before the finish PHOEBUS was forced to ease off the heels of NEW FORT, which shifted inwards sharply away from the crop. Jockey Cheyne, the rider of NEW FORT, was charged with a contravention, in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to PHOEBUS when he shifted in the latter stages. Jockey Cheyne signed an Admission of Guilt and was suspended from riding in races for a period of seven days. NEW FORT was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: BIG FREEZE - inspected post race and no significant finding were detected. HIDDEN DANGER - returned blowing. Scratched: FORD COUNTRY - colic. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
