BURG jumped outwards resulting in SPLENDID GARDEN to be bumped at the start. EASY LOVER was hanging out badly and was difficult to assist from the 200m. In view of the performance of this colt, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. Trainer Howells was requested to report back to the Board on this colt's condition on return to the stables. Mr Howells told the Board that this colt's blood will be taken for analysis. BELONG TOP ME was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SPLENDID GARDEN raced with a tongue tie. Vet: EASY LOVER - examined post race, no significant findings. Scratched: ASTRO - lame behind. CARLA THE REBEL - insufficient recovery time.
