NIGHT FALL was stubborn loading and jumped slow leaving the stalls. Trainer Janse van Vuuren was advised to re-school this filly prior to its next engagement. LEAH'S LITTLE LUV and GYPSEY MYTH jumped slow leaving the stalls. Jockey Lerena reported that he felt something amiss with BIG BUCKS in running. Trainer Woodruff was requested to report back to the Board on the condition of this filly on return to the stables. Jockey Wrogemann reported that PINCHBE did not stride out freely in running. APPLE TART was carried out slightly approaching the 150m by CATCH A THIEF, which was switched out to continue its run. A member of the Stipendiary Board called a race review into this incident and after reviewing the patrol films in the presence of Trainer Gray, took no further action. EVA TIBBS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. When questioned regarding the improved performance of EVA TIBBS compared to its previous race on 18th of December 2014 at the Vaal Racecourse over 1400m, Mr Tarry told the Stewards that this mare is better suited to the further distance of 1800m and that he will endeavour to race her over similar distances in future. The Board noted Mr Tarry's explanation and will monitor the future performance of this mare. CATCH A THIEF raced with a tongue tie. Vet: BIG BUCKS and PINCHBE - examined post race, no significant findings. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure, except for STYLING who was identified with a microchip number.
