VILLITA RYE (ARG) (C Zackey) was restless in the stalls and lost two lengths. IRISH PEARL (S Moodley) lost two lengths. COOL APACHE (*M Zuma) shifted out away from the crop at the 300m.IRISH PEARL (S Moodley) shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages. Apprentice K Sakayi reported that QUE-TEE (5.70 lengths, 33/1 in the betting) coughed in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. In the concluding stages, DANCINGINTHEWIND (A Marcus) was momentarily inconvenienced on at least two occasions when awkwardly placed on the heels of CONSTANTIA (E Ngwane). Jockey E Ngwane signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he struck the horse CONSTANTIA more than 12 times in entire race. In deciding what action to take against Jockey E Ngwane the Board considered the number of times (13) Jockey E Ngwane struck the horse CONSTANTIA, the distance over which and manner in which, Jockey E Ngwane used his crop and his record (1) in relation to this Rule. Accordingly, a penalty of R750 was imposed. IRISH PEARL (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Naidoo advised (DA).CONSTANTIA raced equipped with blinkers (advised 12.06.2020/07h34). RUBY COVE raced with a tongue tie (advised 12.06.2020/11h41).
