The start of this Race was delayed due to the saddles of Jockey Mgudlwa and Jockey Samuel, the riders of SUZIE WONG and WILD EMPRESS respectively, being switched when the horses were being saddled resulting in both riders having to re-weigh. MAGIC DAWN and WILD EMPRESS were slow into stride. BARAK FORT, DELLAVERA and QUEEN'S ADVANCE lost one length. PRINCESS STEPHANIE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Kennedy reported that QUEENSMEAD was making an abnormal respiratory noise at the pull up. DELLAVERA raced wide for the majority of the race. MAGIC DAWN and BARAK FORT raced green. Jockey Khumalo, the rider of BARAK FORT, signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined for a contravention in that he failed to proceed to the parade ring immediately after being instructed by the Clerk of Scales. The ownership of DELLAVERA should read: Mr R M Scott & Mrs J R Scott; and the Colours are: yellow, navy blue maltese cross, emerald green sleeves and yellow cap. Vet: QUEENSMEAD - nothing obvious detected. BARAK FORT - speedy cut right hind. Scratched: BANK OF LONDON - coughing.
