NOBLE JOURNEY, COUNT ZAFONIC, DEPARTURE FLIGHT and LEGENDARY PEG were slow into stride. BIG AMBITIONS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Whitehead was questioned with regard to the improved performance of BIG AMBITIONS, the winner, compared to this colt's previous performance on the 28 November 2014. Trainer Whitehead explained on that occasion BIG AMBITIONS raced in a rearward position from a wide draw and, in her opinion, as a result did not run on. Tonight she instructed Jockey S Randolph to race this colt from a forward position and as a result BIG AMBITIONS ran on. Trainer Whitehead has undertaken to race this colt from a similar position in races in the immediate future. This explanation was noted and the future performances of BIG AMBITIONS will be monitored. NOBLE JOURNEY and MFUYI over-raced in the early stages. In view of the performances of NOBLE JOURNEY and MFUYI, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings. CAVIAR BAY raced green when encouraged from the latter part of the bend. Apprentice Godden reported that LEGENDARY PEG took no interest in running. CAVIAR BAY raced with alumites and not steel shoes as carded. Vet: NOBLE JOURNEY - not striding out left hind and coughing. MFUYI and LEGENDARY PEG - nothing obvious detected.
