FORTE DE OURO and ARCTIC TEON were restless in the stalls. BUSHFIGHTER became fractious in the stalls. Trainer Ennion will be advised that this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn. REGAL RULER reared in the stalls, had to be taken out, and was withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon at the start. Trainer Hodgson will be advised that this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn. BIRD OF WAR, which was hanging in, and difficult to assist, shifted in sharply for a number of strides shortly after the start carrying FORTE DE OURO and THREE BALLOONS inwards. Apprentice May, the rider of BIRD OF WAR, was charged with a contravention, in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to other runners shortly after the start. Apprentice May signed an Admission of Guilt and was given a Warning. EXCLUSIVE KNIGHT shifted out away from the crop and brushed THREE BALLOONS on a number of occasions between the 250m and 200m, thereafter Apprentice Goomany dropped his right side rein, rolled out, brushed THREE BALLOONS and became momentarily unbalanced. A Member of the Stipendiary Board called for a race review regarding this incident and after reviewing the patrol films and giving regard to the distance between the horses, took no further action. Apprentice Goomany, the rider of EXCLUSIVE KNIGHT, was charged with a contravention, in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference at about the 250m. Apprentice Goomany signed an Admission of Guilt and was suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days. ROYAL TRUMP (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Scratched: REGAL RULER - reared in the stalls, injured the right fore, was withdrawn. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure. Several Jockeys and Apprentices were selected for the taking of breathalyser tests and urine samples for analysis.
