JADE GREEN broke through the front gates, restrained by the rider, returned to the start, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and reloaded. DIVINE AMANDA and PRIDE AND JOY were slow into stride. YELL and GOODNIGHT SEATTLE lost one length. PRIDE AND JOY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. REBEL RAIN, FLORAL SECRET, JADE GREEN and WHOOPS A DAISY over-raced in the early stages. YELL was eased off the heels of WHOOPS A DAISY approaching the 800 metre mark. REBEL RAIN was hanging in, in the final straight. LIQUORICE MOON was hanging out over the final 400 metres. Jockey Forbes reported that he felt something amiss with DIVINE AMANDA in running. Jockey Dillon reported that he felt something amiss with REBEL RAIN in the latter stages. In view of the performance of JADE GREEN, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Jockey Veale, the rider of TIMEFORATIGER, accidentally dropped his crop in the starting stalls shortly before the start was effected. TIMEFORATIGER returned post race having cast the left shoe. Jockey Mohapi signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined for a contravention, in that he misused his crop by striking PRIDE AND JOY to the extent of causing injury by leaving whip wheals on the right hind quarter. DIVINE AMANDA raced equipped with pacifiers Vet: DIVINE AMANDA, REBEL RAIN and JADE GREEN - nothing obvious detected. PRIDE AND JOY - whip wheals, parallel lines, right thigh. Scratched: LOLLY FOR DOLLY - not eating up.
