The start of this Race was delayed due to FLY PEG FLY bolting and having to be removed from the course and further delayed as a result of DODGE CITY having to be re-saddled at the start. HIS APPROVAL and GULLIVERS TRAVEL were slow into stride. DODGE CITY lost two lengths. BOY FROM BRAZIL was difficult to load. Assistant Trainer Greyling was advised to re-school this gelding. HIS APPROVAL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Forbes reported that BENGAL BOY was making an abnormal respiratory noise at the pull up. Jockey de Melo reported that NICK JAGGER was not striding out freely in running. Apprentice Murray signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined for a contravention, in that he dismounted FLY PEG FLY on-route to the start as a result this filly bolted the course and was scratched. Vet: BENGAL BOY and NICK JAGGER - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: FLY PEG FLY - bolted and was withdrawn by the Stipendiary Board.
