The start of this race was delayed due to TZIGANE proving difficult to load. TZIGANE was stubborn loading and lost one length. The Starting Stall Certificate for this mare has been withdrawn until recertified tractable. BE MINE TONIGHT was stubborn loading. Trainer Zaki was advised to re-school this filly prior to its next engagement. BRAVO MAYA had to steady outwards at the 250m off the heels of BE MINE TONIGHT, which rolled outwards and was immediately straightened. VIRGO'S BABE which was following had to steady to avoid the heels of BRAVO MAYA. An Inquiry will be held into alleged interference involving BREAK OF DAWN, BE MINE TONIGHT, BRAVO MAYA and TZIGANE at the 50m. Jockey Zechner reported that VIRGO'S BABE did not stride out freely in running. Jockey Strydom, the rider of NOT SULKING, reported that this filly made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. Apprentice Munger, the rider of BE MINE TONIGHT, appeared before the Board and was advised to ride his mounts out to the finish. WINTER STAR was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: VIRGO'S BABE - examined post race, no significant findings. NOT SULKING - no respiratory noise detected post race.
