SEVEN GRAND was fractious in the stalls. Trainer Bass will be advised to have this filly re-schooled before her next engagement. PRINCESS SALME jumped awkwardly, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. In view of the performance from SEVEN GRAND, where Jockey Domeyer did not persevere with his riding in the latter stages, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the filly and submit a report. Jockey Strydom reported that PRINCESS SALME did not stride out freely, made an abnormal respiratory noise in running, and Jockey Strydom did not persevere with his riding in the latter stages. Jockey Khumalo reported that AQUILA JET changed stride continually in running. SUMMER CRUISE pulled hard in the early stages and was difficult to settle. SWANNEE ROSE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. The Colours of the Owners of GOING MY OWN WAY should read: Black & red hoops, red & yellow hooped sleeves, black & yellow hooped cap. Vet: SEVEN GRAND - inspected post race and no significant findings were detected. PRINCESS SALME - not striding out in front. AQUILA JET - returned lame on the right hind. STAR OF PARIS - returned with a mouth injury. Scratched: VOL DE NUIT - coughing. EVOKE EMOTION - withdrawn at the start, lame on right hind.
