GO DUTCH lost one length. GO DUTCH was reluctant to proceed to the start. Trainer Houdalakis was advised that should this filly behave in a similar manner in future, it may be suspended. QAWAASEM (AUS), BAGS OF BOODLE, GO DUTCH and APPLE 'N SPICE were jostled shortly after the start when positioned between TELL MY STAR which jumped outwards and LADY CASEY, which jumped inwards. KNOCK KNOCK was hanging in, in the straight. In view of the performance of KNOCK KNOCK, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Jockey Sturgeon reported that APPLE 'N SPICE made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. In view of the performance of ALL IN THE MIND, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. Jockey Aucharuz was charged with a contravention in that he failed to ride the horse ICE GODDESS out to the end of the race. Jockey Aucharuz signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined. QAWAASEM (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. QAWAASEM (AUS) took an awkward stride at the 350m. SILENT RUSH raced equipped with alumites. APPLE 'N SPICE raced with a tongue tie. Vet: ALL IN THE MIND - mild post race distress and epistaxis, 90 day suspension. KNOCK KNOCK - examined post race, no significant findings. APPLE 'N SPICE - abnormal respiratory noise.
