MALTA ROCKS was stubborn loading. The Starting Stall Certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn until recertified tractable. BENBOW lost one length. KISS ME HARDY jumped inwards at the start and brushed TIGER TERRITORY. Jockey Nhlapo, the rider of BENBOW, appeared before the Board and was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out to the end of the race. In assessing this incident, the Stewards considered that Jockey Nhlapo's riding had not compromised BENBOW's finishing position. MALTA ROCKS was hanging in from the 400m. In view of the performance of MALTA ROCKS, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. TIGER TERRITORY and ANGER (BRZ) were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Aucharuz, the rider of TIGER TERRITORY, appeared before the Board and was advised that the Stewards had noted his too frequent reports of his saddle slipping in races and he was advised to rectify the situation. Vet: TIGER TERRITORY and BENBOW -abnormal respiratory noise. MALTA ROCKS - not striding out both front.
