There was a delay to the start of the 4th Race due to the close proximity of lightning to the racecourse. Steady rain fell prior to and during the running of the 4th Race. THE STRATEGIST lost 1 length. CREVASSE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Apprentice Mxothwa reported that ELECTRIC SOLDIER took no interest in running. THE STRATEGIST raced green. A race review was called regarding the start of this race and after reviewing the patrol videos of the start the Stipendiary Board was of the view that CAVIAR BAY was impeded by the hood not being removed by the Handler and having to be removed by Apprentice Zackey after the start was effected. CAVIAR BAY was declared a non-runner. ELECTRIC SOLDIER raced fitted with a Cornell collar. CAVIAR BAY raced fitted with alumites. Vet: ELECTRIC SOLDIER - abnormal respiratory noise. Scratched: RED CHINA - abscess left hind. CAVIAR BAY - declared a non-runner.
