MISS DECEMBER was restless in the stalls. The Starting Stall Certificate for this filly has been withdrawn until she is recertified tractable. SACRED GROUND and SCARLET VEIL lost one length. Jockey Appie, the rider of ONE YESTERDAY, lost his right side stirrup iron at the start when this filly jumped in and bumped DREAM LADY. This placed Jockey Appie at a severe disadvantage until the 700m where he regained his stirrup iron. Jockey Naude, the rider of KOSTYA ZU, appeared before the Board and was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out to the finish. VIKING HERO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: KOSTYA ZU - abnormal respiratory noise. CLEAN CUT - abrasions left hind bumper. Scratched: CANNES - colic. ELUSIVE SHADE - sold.
