The start of this Race was delayed due to the previous delays. CLASSIC ILLUSION lost 1 length. SHE'S A LOOKER jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls and lost 3 lengths. An inquiry will be opened to establish why AMBER ORCHID (AUS) and CLASSIC ILLUSION were tightened for galloping room at the 300m. ERIN was baulked for a clear run in the home straight until the 400m. Jockey Khumalo reported that he felt something amiss with AMBER ORCHID (AUS) in running. WHATALADY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: AMBER ORCHID (AUS) - examined post race, no significant findings. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure, except for NIGHT MARCH (Race 2) (to be investigated), which was identified by means of its microchip number.
