GONDOLA GIRL and TORRELAVEGA bumped shortly after the start. COUNTESS BACARDI lost 1 length. ELECTRIC ELEKTRA was hanging in throughout, and approaching the 100m was carried inwards by ONE YESTERDAY, which commenced to hang in in the closing stages. In view of the performance from DANIELLE, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. Jockey Lerena reported that STYLE FLASH made an abnormal respiratory noise and changed stride continually in running and as a result did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. Jockey Herholdt reported something amiss with DAWN DAY in running. LIZZIE'S LEGS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. LIZZIE'S LEGS raced equipped with alumite shoes in front, steel behind. Vet: STAR EMPRESS - blowing heavily post race. DANIELLE - abnormal respiratory noise. STYLE FLASH - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. DAWN DAY - not striding out right front and was suspended indefinitely for full veterinary report. Scratched: ALL JAMMED UP - change of surface. TACIT TIGER - off feed. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
