CASTLETHORPE (AUS) was slow, losing two lengths. Jockey Fourie reported that VILLA DEL LARGO was not striding out in running. In view of the performance from SHISHANGENI, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding and submit a report. GULF STORM was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SHISHANGENI raced with steel bar shoes in front, and unshod behind. Vet: VILLA DEL LARGO and SHISHANGENI - inspected post race and no significant findings were observed.
