The start of this race was delayed due to BATTLE CHIEF bolting the course and subsequently being withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon. PRIVATE GAME lost one length. Jockey Greyling will be issued with an Admission of Guilt for a contravention, read with Guideline G on the use of the crop, in that he struck the horse ABRAX unnecessarily when it was out of contention for a place. Apprentice Munger was charged with a contravention, read with Guideline G on the use of the crop, in that he struck the horse PRIVATE GAME unnecessarily when it was out of contention for a place. Apprentice Munger signed an Admission of Guilt and was fiend. ABRAX was bumped outwards, approaching the 600m, by TRIPP FORCE which shifted out sharply. MISSISSIPPI RISING was hanging in, in the straight. In view of the performance of MISSISSIPPI RISING, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer Houdalakis will be asked to report back should he find anything untoward with this gelding on return to stables. WOTTAHOTTIE was hanging out from the 300m. CUMBERLAND was carried out in the concluding stages by STREET FLYER (AUS), which shifted out away from the crop from the 100m. Jockey Mansour reported that LIMITED EDITION made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. CUMBERLAND was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Apprentice Thackeray has now ridden twenty winners and with effect from tomorrow Sunday 22 February 2015 he will no longer claim a 4kg allowance and will only claim a 2,5kg allowance. VIKING CASTLE raced with Club colours. Vet: TRIPP FORCE - abnormal respiratory noise and speedy cut left front. LIMITED EDITION - no respiratory noise detected post race. MISSISSIPPI RISING - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. Scratched: BATTLE CHIEF - bolted the course. TALCA - abnormal temperature. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
