DAME OF THE EMPIRE and L A BID were slow, losing 1 length. MIESQUE'S STORM, BEST OF THREE and JENADOR'S WORLD were slow into stride. A LOVE SUPREME had to steady at the 1100m to avoid the heels of TEMPEST, which shifted out when insufficiently clear. Apprentice Zackey signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention in that he, as the rider of TEMPEST, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to A LOVE SUPREME when he shifted outwards at the 1100m. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days. SET IN STONE and JENADOR'S WORLD were hanging in throughout. Jockey de Melo reported that he felt something amiss with SEVEN KINGDOMS in running. C'EST CHIQUE ducked out sharply from the crop in the concluding stages and was immediately straightened. C'EST CHIQUE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. The saddle on TEMPEST slipped back in running, placing Apprentice Zackey at a disadvantage. DAME OF THE EMPIRE raced equipped with alumite shoes in front, unshod behind. SEVEN KINGDOMS raced equipped with a tongue tie. Vet: SEVEN KINGDOMS - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
