FLYING TERN was slow into stride. KING OF CLOTH jumped outwards and stumbled. VALIANCE SAMARITAN took an awkward stride leaving the stalls. FLASH PARK was hanging in throughout. In view of the performance from FLASH PARK, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Jockey Zechner reported that POST GRAD took no interest in running. Jockey Greyling signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention in that he rode the horse RAFA in an unprofessional manner by dropping his crop at the 200m. A Warning was imposed. Jockey Greyling appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol film of the race and spoken to regarding his use of the crop preceding this incident. ZERMATT shifted both ways away from the crop in the closing stages. FLYING TERN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: VALIANCE SAMARITAN - abnormal respiratory noise. CAPTAIN QUAKER - speedy cut right hind. FLASH PARK - blowing heavily post race. POST GRAD - not striding out left front. Scratched: VICTOR'S FOLLY - injured in transit.
