The start of this Race was delayed as TRIP KINGS spread its left front shoe, which had to be attended to by the Course Farrier. ONE YESTERDAY jumped outwards. ALEUT, which was hanging in, was carried in slightly at the 350m by WILL PAYS, which rolled inwards, which led to ALEUT having to be steadied to avoid the heels of MAGIC TRIP, which shifted outwards. Jockey Lerena, the rider of MAGIC TRIP, appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol film of the race and advised that whilst there were circumstances to this incident, he is required to take all measures to keep his mounts on a straight course. NUGGETS failed to muster speed in the early stages. Jockey Zechner reported that ROMANTIC BALLADEER did not stride out freely in running. WILL PAYS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: ROMANTIC BALLADEER - coughing; not striding out right front. Scratched: BRAVE VISION - lame left front.
